WELCOME

Team Dorset Athletics Network currently includes Bournemouth AC, Dorchester AC, Poole AC, Poole Runners, Weymouth St. Paul's Harriers & AC and Wimborne AC with rural training groups in North Dorset and West Dorset. Athletics clubs and Road Running clubs are welcome to join the network.

The aim of the Team Dorset Athletics Network is to promote athletics as a core skill that underpins other sports, and to provide improved training and competition in athletics to the Dorset community, by pooling club resources and thereby increasing effectiveness. An intrinsic part of the network will be to encourage greater involvement of adults and young people in Dorset in fitness through athletics.

  • Details for the Third Wessex League XC

    Visit the Competition page to see the race map and times for the third Wessex League XC at Canfod School December 15th.


  • The Third Wessex League XC is postponed

    The third Wessex League Cross Country has been, normally organised by Yeovil Town RRC is postponed, due to lack of a venue.
    We are hoping to find another venue before the end of the cross country season, so if anyone one, or any running club can help us out, please contact our Team Dorset Co-ordinator. teamdorsetpad@gmail.com


  • First 2019 Wessex League XC was a Success

    Despite the wet and windy weather, the first Wessex League Cross Country held at Learoyd Road, Canford Heathon Sunday 29th September was a success. Thank you to Poole AC, who hosted the event as well as other members of Team Dorset.

  • Team Dorset 4th in the final SAL match

    Team Dorset came a creditable 4th place in their final event at Swindon.


  • YDL Upper Results Available

    The 28th July YDL Upper Age Results are now available with Team Dorset getting a 5th place finish in their last YDL event of the season.


  • Poole Open Meeting Results

    Thanks to all the athletes, who patiently waited to enter and to all the officials who made the event possible.

  • YDL Lower Age Group team get promoted

    Our Team Dorset Lower Age Group Team came second in the last match of the season.
    This means that they win the league this season and are promoted.

  • Team Dorset SAL team get third

    The Team Dorset Team get 3rd place in their SAL match at Basingstoke, July 13th


  • YDL Upper Age Group

    Sunday 30th June at King's Park, Bournemouth, Team Dorset came 3rd team in Match 3 to raise their overall league position to third.


  • Another Win for YDL LAG team

    Saturday 22nd June, Team Dorset Youth Development League Lower Age Group Team win again at King's Park, Bournemouth as they top the league.


  • The Team Dorset SAL team win at Poole

    Team Dorset SAL team win at their home track at Ashdown, Poole to consolidate the 3rd place in the league, which is very tight at the top.


  • Millie meets the World Championship standard

    Millie Courtney ran a PB in the 5000m in Stockholm Diamond League meeting, 30th May this year.
    She was 8th behind some top class runners and was the first Welsh woman to beat 5 minutes with a time of 4 minutes 53.82 seconds.

    What an achievement!
    Millie Courtney wins the Westminster Mile again
    In blustery wind conditions, our Team Dorset Star, Melissa Courtney, 4:31  beat Sarah McDonald also 4:31 and Laura Muir 4:32.


  • YDL Upper Age Group Match 2

    The YDL upper age group team were at Winchester Sunday 26th May for their second match.
    They were against some stiff opposition; but finished  4th team to maintain their 4th place in the league


  • TEAM DORSET YDL ATHLETES

    On April 27 Team Dorset's Lower Age Group Squad, at Walton-on-Thames, won their first team competition of the season, despite the weather being cold and blustery. Well done to everyone. The results can be seen in the competition area.


  • Team Dorset Southern Athletic League Team improve

    The Southern Athletic team do better in their 2nd match at Winchester.
    With a stronger team they were narrowly beaten to 2nd place.

  • Team Dorset Win Again

    At their home track, May 18th Team Dorset's Lower Age Group Squad  won their second match with a total of 635 points.
